How many IPTV connections do you need?
Count the most devices that play at the same moment on a normal busy evening — that's your number. Installing the player on extra devices costs nothing; only simultaneous playback does. Most single viewers need 1, couples 2, and families with teenagers 3–4. IPTV LEVEL UP plans offer 1 to 5 connections.
What counts as a connection?
A connection is one active stream. A TV that's on but not playing doesn't count; a phone playing in a bedroom does. If you go over your limit, the newest stream may be refused or an existing one may stop.
Household examples
| Household | Typical evening | Connections |
|---|---|---|
| One person | One TV, sometimes the phone | 1 |
| Couple | Living room TV + one tablet | 2 |
| Family of four | Main TV, kids' TV, one phone | 3 |
| Sports household | Two games at once + one other screen | 3–4 |
| Shared house | Everyone in their own room | 4–5 |
Don't forget bandwidth
Each stream needs its own share of your internet: around 10 Mbps for HD, 25 Mbps for Full HD and 50 Mbps for 4K. Three Full HD screens need about 75 Mbps of stable speed. If your connection can't support the screens, extra connections won't help.
How to avoid paying for screens you don't use
- Start from your honest evening peak, not the number of devices you own.
- If unsure, take fewer connections — support can add screens later.
- Mirroring or casting from a phone still uses one connection, because the phone is the device streaming.
